Under Bonded Contract **Lani Rhea & JP Archer**

Publication Date: No Idea
Genre: Erotica/ Contemporary
Series: The ARC Hotel
List Price: $5.99
Sensuality Rating: NC-17
Stars: 5/5

Synopsis:

A competition spirals into a tantalizing game of bondage and seduction… Camri Burns, an ambitious real-estate agent, blindsides the rival she's secretly desired for a long time. When she's offered an all-expenses-paid trip, opportunity opens the playing field. As the biggest earner with the most notches on his bedpost, too-sexy Jackson Pratt is determined the redheaded beauty won't prevail. When the two-some enter into a partnership, they must distract each other in order to win. After Jackson took credit on a past partnership, Camri isn't letting him off the hook. In order to ultimately succeed, they'll need to follow the rules of Under Bonded Contract. Soon she is tied in his presence. Is it love, or simply a game of sex?

 My Opinion:

Camri Burns is a sexy, voluptuous lady that at one point got burned by Jackson Pratt, and does not want to go through that again.Unfortunately, she still has to work with him, is still sexually attracted to him. He definitely doesn't make it easy to keep their relationship platonic.

Jackson is very ambitious man (not to mention HOT!) and feels gallons of remorse for stabbing Camri in the back. He learned his trade from his bastard of a father and realized too late that becoming like the late Mr. Pratt is NOT how he wants to live. He also find out far to late how much he cares for Camri, and will do anything to get her back...

I was very surprised by this book. I know I've said this before, but a bunch of times when I'm reading Erotica, the novel has no plot line it's just sex, sex, sex. That is not the case for Under Bonded Contract. This book had a story to it, a great story in fact. I loved it!

I found "the boys" of the office quite amusing. If you have never read this book you have absolutely no idea what I'm talking about, so let me explain. Camri and Jackson work for the same real estate office, under the same boos. "the boys" are Jackson and his buddies that goof off and are all around annoying to Camri. I, myself, find them to be amusing and kinda charming. They make me laugh with their stunts to help Jackson get back his woman (Camri, if you haven't been paying attention).

This really has no correlation to the story or has anything to do with the plot line, but the fact is, one of the things that helped me to develop a relationship with Camri was out mutual crush on Damion from the Vampire Diaries. I hate that show so much, but I definitely think Damion is hot with hid dark, mysterious sexiness. Being able to relate to characters, even if it's something silly as hottie actors makes it easier for a reader (or just me) to be able to get involved in a novel.

I was really impressed with the way Camri doesn't put up with Jackson's crap. She doesn't allow herself to be steamrolled and takes things into her own hands. My kind of woman!

I especially loved the sinful sex scenes (Duh! It is erotica...). The love scenes were deliciously steamy in uniquely sexy ways. No two scenes were alike. Which is great, because who wants to read a boring erotica?? Well, who wants to read a boring book to begin with?? Nope, not me!

Good job authors, this book was awesome!

Recommendations??

This novel is recommended to those who love a short, sexy novel that keeps you addicted until the very end. Under Bonded Contract is not for those who like a PG or even a PG-13 rating, so choose wisely. But don't discriminate because of ratings, because it's also a good read without the sex!

  1. Dear Sarah, thanks for the great review! I am so glad you got it (the story). Lani and I are very proud of this work for the very reasons you mentioned. Yes, it's hot, it's erotic, but there is a real story here. I hope you will want to be on board when the Ark sails again in a month or two, with Pass or Play, book two of the series. Thanks again!

  2. I agree, I don't know how many times I've picked up an erotic romance without a story! Sex gets boring after awhile. I would definitely like to review book two!
